Malaysia's top men's doubles shuttlers Tan Boon Heong & Koo Kien Keat LOST TO Korean 5th seed Ko Sung Hyun & Yoo Yeon Seong in the quarter final. The 4th seed ended up the 5th match with Korean pair with 17-21, 13-21 in 39 minutes, recording all loss.

The 2nd seed of the this championship Mathias Boe & Carsten Mogensen of Denmark LOST TO 7th-seeded Mohammad Ahsan & Bona Septano of Indonesia 18-21, 21-18, 22-24 in 1-hour-and-9-minute game of quarter final.

(Women's Singles) - game of quarter final
China's 1st-seeded Wang Shixian LOST TO 7th seed Cheng Shao Chieh of Chinese Taipei 21-16, 21-17 in 49 minutes.

Germany's 9th seed Juliane Schenk BEATED Denmark's 5th-seeded Tine Baun 21-9, 21-11 in 30 minutes after she disappointed China's 4th seed Jiang Yanjiao 21-14, 7-21, 21-17 in 59-minute game of round 3.

(Women's Doubles) - game of quarter final
After beating 2nd seed Cheng Wen Tsing & Chien Yu Chin of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 21-18 in the second round, 11th-seeded Poon Lok Yan & Tse Ying Suet 19-21, 21-17, 21-19 in the third round, the unseeded Indian pairs Jwala Gupta & Ashwini Ponnappa continued their legendary journey by making revearsal in the 2nd and 3rd games of quarter final, WINNING the 12th seed Vita Marissa & Nadya Melati of Indonesia 17-21, 21-10, 21-17 in 47 minutes.

1st seed Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia knocked out Kevin Cordon of Guatemala 21-7, 21-14 in 24-minute game.

After playing hard to win Ajay Jayaram of India 18-21, 21-12, 21-11 in round 3, China's 6th-seeded Chen Jin beated Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark 21-17, 21-13 in 53 minutes.

After beating the Simon Santoso 21-18, 14-21, 21-14 in round 3, the 3rd seed Peter Gade of Denmark won 7th-seeded Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam 17-21, 21-19, 21-13 in 1 hour and 22 minutes.

The 11th-seeded Sasaki Sho of Japan who had disappointed the 8th seed Du Pengyu of China 10-21, 24-22, 21-10 in round 3, was defeated by China's Lin Dan the 2nd-seeded shuttler 14-21, 16-21 in 46 minutes.


(Men's Doubles) - game of quarter final
China's 1st seed Fu Haifeng & Cai Yun disappointed the 16th-seeded Mads Conrad-Petersen & Jonas Rasmussen of Denmark 21-10, 21-13 in 36 minutes and entered semi final easily.

Korean 3rd seed Lee Yong Dae & Jung Jae Sung beated China's unseeded Hong Wei & Shen Ye 21-12, 26-24 in 42 minutes.


(Women's Singles) - game of quarter final
China's 3rd-seeded Wang Xin won India's 6th seed Saina Nehwal 21-15, 21-10 in 30 minutes.

France's unseeded veteran Pi Hongyan lost to China's 2nd seed Wang Yihan 14-21, 16-21 in 44 minutes.


(Women's Doubles) - game of quarter final
China's 1st seed Wang Xiaoli & Yu Yang beated 7th seed Matsuo Shizuka & Naito Mami of Japan 21-13, 21-12 in 43 minutes.

Another Japanese 3rd seed Maeda Miyuki & Suetsuna Satoko stopped the journey of Indonesia's 8th seed Meiliana Jauhari & Greysia Polii in the world badminton championship London 2011 by winning 21-15, 21-17 in 53 minutes.

5th seed Tian Qing & Zhao Yunlei of China won Japan's 4th seed Fujii Mizuki & Kakiiwa Reika 21-16, 21-10 in 45 minutes.


(Mixed Doubles) - game of quarter final

6th seed Xu Chen & Ma Jin of China won Chayut Triyachart & Yao Lei of Singapore 21-16, 21-7 in 36 minutes.

1st seed Zhang Nan & Zhao Yunlei of China won 7th seed Chen Hung Ling & Cheng Wen Tsing of Chinese Taipei 21-14, 21-14 in 34 minutes.

The unseeded Chris Adcock of England & Imogen Bankier of Scotland beated 4th seed Tao Jiaming & Tian Qing of China 21-16, 21-18 in 41 minutes.

Indonesia's 2nd-seeded Tantowi Ahmad & Liliyana Natsir defeated Joachim Fischer Nielsen & Christinna Pedersen of Denmark, the 5th seed, 21-12, 21-13 in 37 minutes.
